CONTENT-TODO — replace with reviewed legal text
Below is a working draft summarising actual SnapFile data practices. Review with legal counsel before publishing as the binding policy.
1. What we collect
SnapFile collects only what is needed to run your account and deliver reports:
- Account data — your email, full name, company name and (optionally) logo. Used to identify you and brand your reports.
- License and billing metadata — plan type, validation codes, payment status. We do not store full card numbers; payment is handled by our processor.
- Anonymous usage statistics — page views and basic device type, used to improve the product. No personal identifiers are tied to these stats.
2. What we do NOT collect
- Photos — your site images stay on your device. They are processed locally in your browser and never uploaded to SnapFile servers.
- Generated PDF reports — assembled in your browser using client-side libraries. We never receive a copy.
- Client data inside reports — addresses, names, descriptions you type into a report stay on-device until you send the PDF directly to your recipient.
3. How we use your data
Account and license data is used to:
- Authenticate you (passwordless email login)
- Apply your subscription limits and brand your reports
- Send service notifications (e.g. payment receipts, plan changes)
- Provide support when you contact us
4. Data storage and security
Your account data is stored on EU-based servers (provider: Supabase). All connections are encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS). We follow GDPR principles of data minimisation and purpose limitation.
5. Your rights (GDPR)
You can at any time:
- Request a copy of all data we hold about you
- Correct or delete your account data
- Export your account data in machine-readable form
- Withdraw consent and close your account
To exercise any of these rights, write to hello@snapfile.eu.
6. Changes to this policy
We will post any updates on this page and notify active users by email at least 14 days before substantial changes take effect.
